REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICES ACROSS ST. THOMAS, ELGIN COUNTY

It's a weekend to remember.
      
Remembrance Day ceremonies will be held throughout St. Thomas and Elgin County both tonight and tomorrow.
        
Tonight, Dutton will be holding a service at 7:00p.m. at the Dutton Community Centre.
        
On Remembrance Day (Saturday), there will be many opportunities to salute those who have served our country both past and present.
          
The service in St. Thomas will be held at the new Veterans Memorial Garden on Moore St. If you're attending, you're asked to be there before 10:45am.
        
Springfield will hold a service at the Cenotaph at 9am, Aylmer will also host a service at their cenotaph at 10:30am. In West Lorne, a service will be held at the Miller Park Cenotaph located at the arena starting at 10:45am. Finally, in Rodney, there will be a parade and service at the Library at 11am.
      
Make sure you take time this weekend to remember those who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom. Also, make a donation to your local legion and wear a poppy in honour of the day.
