DUTTON MAN FACES IMPAIRED AND STUNT DRIVING CHARGES

A 23-year-old Dutton man is facing multiple charges after being clocked at over 200 km/hr in the posted 100 km/hr zone on the 401.

Elgin OPP received complaints about a Ford Mustang travelling near Dutton and officers were able to stop the car near Iona Road.
   
The driver also happened to be impaired by alcohol.
   
The 23-year-old faces charges for Impaired Driving, Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle and Stunt Driving.
    
The Mustang was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge. The driver also faces a 90 day driver licence suspension.
    
The accused was later released and is scheduled to appear in St. Thomas Criminal Court later this month.
